Health and Safety at FOSS Backstage

The pandemic has hit the events industry hard as all events have one thing in common: To bring people together. We want to do this in a way that is as safe and inclusive as possible. So it is with this in mind the we have decided that FOSS Backstage 2022 will be a hybrid event. We hope that this will allow us to maintain the openness and accessibility of online events while creating a space for in person discussions for those who want them.

We are monitoring the national health advise from Robert Koch Institut, the German federal government agency and research institute responsible for disease control and prevention, closely and will update our plans accordingly if necessary. We are also collaborating closely on health concepts with our venue Tuechtig. Below are the current plans for the in-person day of FOSS Backstage:
  • we will be operating under 2G rules, meaning that entry will only be possible for those who can provide proof of full vaccination or proof or recent recovery
  • all participants need provide contact details and will be informed in case of an outbreak  we provide sanitation stations with alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • seating will be spaced and the room will be regularly aired
  • we will sanitize speaker microphones
  • we request that anyone sick or experiencing any cold/flu-like symptoms stay home for their own safety and the safety of others
  • compulsory mask wearing inside

We will update this page as and when we make any changes to our plans. If you have any questions or recommendations, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at: ps@plainschwarz.com
