FOSS Backstage provides a space to discuss a broad spectrum of issues related to the FOSS community. We believe we can do this best by ensuring that people taking part are valued, respected, accepted and encouraged to fully participate. Part of ensuring a wide range of opinions can be shared at FOSS Backstage is ensuring that people from underrepresented groups within the FOSS community can attend and engage with the discussions.
In order to promote this diversity at FOSS Backstage we have initiated a diversity tickets program. We will be providing 10 diversity tickets and providing one more for every two Diversity Support tickets bought by attendees.
What is a Diversity Ticket?
Diversity Tickets are fully sponsored (i.e. free) tickets that are available to people from underrepresented groups within the FOSS community. This includes, but is not limited to: women, people of colour, LGBTQIA people, disabled people, and people facing economic or social hardships. If you would like a diversity ticket please select it from the ticket shop here. We will initially be providing 10 diversity tickets with additional tickets being provided through partners and Diversity Support tickets.
How can I get a Diversity Ticket?

What is a Diversity Support Ticket?
When you buy a Diversity Support Ticket the proceeds are put in a pool to pay for Diversity Tickets. Diversity Support Tickets let you use your resources to support someone who might otherwise be unable to attend.
You can purchase a Diversity Support Ticket in addition to your ticket through the main ticket shop. Please note that the option to buy Diversity Support Tickets will appear once you have selected your ticket type and clicked "buy".
How can I support the FOSS Backstage Diversity Ticket program
If you work for a company that would like to support our Diversity Tickets program we would love to hear from you.
