FOSS Backstage Design – Your Impressions

We appreciate your feedback and positive impressions of the first edition of FOSS Backstage Design.

In the following, we are going to highlight a few of your impressions.

Samira Gibson joined FOSS Backstage Design as a speaker. They shared resources for getting started with XR technology and discussed why OSS tools for XR will create a more accessible and equitable web for the next stage of the digital evolution. You can watch the full session here. Samira shared their impressions of FOSS Backstage Design in a blog post highlighting their 5 favorite talks of the conference.

“This event was definitely one for the books. (…) The talks featured at this event shows that there’s hope for the open source design.”

Victory Brown

“It was great to learn more about open source and the growing need for design to be a part of it.”

Nuna Dionísio

“Overall, I really liked the event and it reaffirmed the importance of systematically understanding and empathising with the user for me, regardless of what software we create to help them get tasks done in the ‘real world’.”

René Kriegler

Had a great time speaking at FOSS Backstage Design 2024 (…), and connecting with some awesome people there.
